Guest Hospitality and Activities

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, November 10, 11 and 12, a Hospitality Room will be offered for the Spouses and Guests of conference attendees. Continental breakfast will be available each morning beginning at 7:00 AM and concluding at 10:00 AM. This is an ideal way to start each day. You can buddy-up to go sightseeing, play tennis or golf, or plan a day at The Spa at Mission Hills for a Invigorating Milk Bath or Hot Stone Massage. As the guest of a conference attendee, you are welcome to attend the Monday night informal reception-style dinner, Tuesday night reception and Awards Gala, as well as the Wednesday keynote speaker and farewell luncheon.

Joshua Tree jeep tourBeginning at sea level, this exciting jeep adventure travels up rugged canyons, climbing 4,300 feet high into the Mojave Desert, land of the Joshua trees and Joshua Tree National Park, the extreme route! This is a true off-road adventure traveling through two deserts and the transition zone between two ecosystems whose characteristics are determined primarily by elevation and come together at Joshua Tree National Park. Below 3,000 feet, the Colorado Desert encompasses the eastern part of the park and features natural gardens of creosote bush, ocotillo, and cholla cactus. The higher, moister, and slightly cooler Mojave Desert is the special habitat of the Joshua tree. The western part of the park also includes some of the most interesting geologic displays found in California's deserts.

Joshua Tree Extreme will take us through the high desert, home to over 25 different animals, several Indian tribes, gold miners, cattle ranchers and rustlers. This beautiful area holds a fistful of American history, plus it encompasses some of the most interesting geological displays found anywhere in the world. The rugged mountains of twisted rock and exposed granite monoliths testify to the tremendous earth forces that shaped and formed California's Wild West! Don't forget your camera, as you will want to take pictures of the gigantic boulders, Joshua trees, yuccas, and other lush plant life that thrives in this area. To add to this adventure, you will enjoy a picnic with gourmet lunch boxes in the middle of Joshua Tree National Park. This is truly an experience that will be remembered by all!

This tour departs from The Westin Mission Hills Resort at 8:00 AM and will return to the Resort at 1:00 PM. The cost is $229 (all inclusive). Due to space limitations (number of jeeps available at maximum capacity) this expedition will be limited to 56 participants based on a first come first served basis.
