Event Description:
CURT Owners are driving Safer, more efficient, and more
collaborative environments. Through the application of LEAN Integrated
Project Delivery Methodologies, Integrated Forms of Contracting Strategies and
transforming the industry via the application of more Digital Construction
technologies. Building Information
Modeling is the catalyst for this fundamental change in how we manage, design
& develop a construction project.
This workshop will focus on the Building Information
Modeling management transformation from the Owners current 2D to the
Multi-Dimensional Modeling environment.
The day will share the process &
opportunities in managing from a 2D to the Multi-Dimensional Modeling
environment. In the morning, you will
hear from an academic research tech lab on the process mapping of this
transformation. We will share and learn what
each stake holder (Owner, Architect, Designer, EPCM, Trade Partner) brings to
the modeling process. Via a panel and
audience Q&A will discuss some of the opportunities that need to be
addressed as we accelerate forward in the utilization of this Digital
Construction catalyst. By the
afternoon, the event will focus on the Intellectual Property Ownership,
maintaining, and staffing the expertise & skills needed to maintain the
system. We will discuss where the Owners
want to move forward. Examine what needs
to be maintained for maintenance and for future projects. Hear from industry software design firms on
how they view these archiving opportunities. Via a panel we will discuss the needs of archiving in order to
accelerate and maximize the benefits of BIM.
