2020 Lean Construction Summit
Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter
May 06th @ 7:00 AM - May 06th @ 4:30 PM
CURT’s Lean Project Delivery Committee will be hosting its annual Lean Construction Summit May 6, 2020, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The theme of the event is, “LEAN IPD’s Attack on Improving Cost, Schedule & Quality through Takt Planning,” and speakers will be focused on connecting Lean Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) applications to drive the project’s projected outcomes in cost, schedule, and quality results.
If you’re not well-versed in Takt Planning, this is the perfect opportunity to learn how to improve your projects through improved planning. Takt planning allows teams to achieve all three project objectives (cost, schedule, and quality) because it forces teams to identify and address challenges brought out in the data naturally driven by the process.
The day will introduce and focus on the basic concepts of Takt, including simulations to drive the key learnings home by hands-on application. Attendees will also hear testimonials from owner, contractor, and trade partner project team leaders who are on their journey utilizing Takt Planning techniques. The goal is to answer questions like: What does quality at the source truly mean? How do we accelerate and empower our learnings for owners and trade partners ensuring quality performance? What Lean tools and concepts improve design and construction quality? How do Lean project teams proactively talk and measure quality to minimize rework and waste?
